Hi,

I am Peter Uetz, currently an Associate Professor at the Center for the Study of Biological Complexity, Virginia Commonwealth University.

My research group works on protein-protein interactions in viruses, bacteria, phage, and eukaryotes. We try to understand what proteins do in these organisms and how they assemble into complex biological entities.

In my limited spare time I work on reptile taxonomy, particularly the Reptile Database.

My contributions to Wikipedia usually circle around these two areas (proteins and taxonomy).
