A Sun storage configration we might use.

Requirements:

Support both bulk storage (backups, media) and fast storage (mail, commonly accessed files)
Expandable
Low maintenance
Reliable

Components:

Brocade 200E 16-port FC switch (? 2x, multipath)
StorageTek 5320 NAS gateway (2x, clustered)
StorageTek 6540 FC array
- 1 expansion tray: 16x 300GB 10,000rpm FC-AL disks; used for fast storage (e.g. mail)
- 8 expansion trays: 16x 500GB 7200rpm SATA disks; used for bulk storage (media, backups...)
- Expandable to 224 drives
Qlogic 2Gbps single port FC HBA (1 per directly connected machine) (? dual-port, multipath)
