On Sunday March 5 Tasmania started to be rendered as mostly water task T159631.

The task was triage as UBN! on Monday Mar 6.

The problem was a combination of problematic data in OSM upstream (The whole Tasmania was marked as natural=bay) and the fact that our styling identifies water in a different way than most OSM styles. A detailed postmortem is available on task T159631#3078163.

Issue was resolved around 10pm Mar 6.

Conclusions

Investigation was longer and more difficult that it should be due to missing knowledge and missing investigation tools.
