Interesting, thanks for sharing this 😀 I get the feeling from my hobby exploration of engines and the contents of this page that scaling RDF is a hard problem once you get to a certain graph size. Also I get the impression that RDF on NoSQL is experimental and not well understood yet. There are perhaps no other organizations in the world right now with a big graph and who want to only use FLOSS backends. This makes the whole endeavor a bit risky perhaps as the graph continues to grow. That risk translates to

1) we might end up in a similar situation again in a year or two no matter what we chose 2) on the leadership level we need someone who are willing to make a decision, even though it involves path dependence risks, risk of poor scalability once we grow past x triples as there seem to be no optimal solution for a new backend strategy.—So9q (talk) 19:31, 21 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
