Broken tool

Hey there,

You had three jobs running on the grid which I have killed; all three were just running /usr/bin/yes (which does nothing but output "y\n" as fast as it can) creating massive logs and clogging up the network.

Please revise your startup script which probably have a stray 'yes' in them that ends up being interpreted as the command to run.

Also, please do not run unattended jobs under your user account; anything meant to run while you are not actively watching it should be run under a tool account and not your personal account.

Hi @Coren, thanks for the message. I was actively watching the jobs, but I guess I must have missed that I left yes running there. Thanks for killing the jobs, and apologies for the trouble caused. odder (talk) 21:36, 3 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
